Position Overview:
JT Auto Group is seeking a customer-focused and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team in Sanford, NC. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and our service technicians, ensuring an outstanding service experience by effectively communicating vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and conduct a thorough assessment of their vehicle's maintenance or repair requirements.
- Listen attentively to customer concerns, questions, and vehicle issues, providing clear explanations and recommendations for necessary services or repairs.
- Collaborate with service technicians to accurately diagnose vehicle issues and provide detailed repair estimates to customers.
- Schedule service appointments and ensure timely completion of service jobs while keeping customers informed of any changes or delays.
- Explain service recommendations, pricing, and maintenance schedules to customers in a transparent and understandable manner.
- Utilize dealership management software (DMS) to create and update service orders, maintain accurate records, and process customer invoices.
- Address customer inquiries, follow up on service appointments, and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area, including customer waiting areas, to provide a professional and welcoming environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in automotive technology or related field is advantageous.
- Proven experience as a service advisor or in a customer-facing role within the automotive industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Proficiency in using dealership management software (DMS) and other computer applications.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
