Summary
To lead assigned maintenance team in effective troubleshooting and reliability improvements to production equipment.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
- Lead technician(s) for assigned shift, responsible for communications to the shift
- End-of-shift hand off to incoming shift
- Set priorities for the shift technician(s) related to downtime, PMs, and projects
- Monitor work being done on assigned shift and support the team members
- Knowledge and understanding of the following :
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems and troubleshooting
Bearing application and troubleshootingCNC systems and troubleshootingPLC systems and troubleshootingElectrical systems and troubleshootingOil / lube systems and troubleshootingAbility to use general gages such as : calipers, micrometer, cylinder gage, dial indicator, etc.Understanding of hand and power tool usageGeneral knowledge of operating and maintaining heating, cooling, and / or ventilation equipmentAbility to analyze and solve technical maintenance problems, including building maintenance, equipment, plumbing, and other types of repairsOther duties as requested, directed, or assigned by managementSupervisory Responsibilities

Special equipment knowledge (i.e., grinding, chip handling systems, vacuum and filtration, etc.)Experience with metal cutting and tooling, cutting fluids, and their useGeneral knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and operation of compressed air systemsExperience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systemsExperience with PLC systems and nomenclatureExperience with close tolerance measurement and part drawing interpretationStrong skills in problem solving, working in a team environment, interpersonal skills, and ability to access equipment to troubleshoot and supportKnowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental regulationsAble to work overtime and weekends as neededEducation and Experience
Associate's degree in mechatronics, mechanical, electrical engineering technologies, or applicable field or equivalent work experience with experience in a similar leadership-type roleWork Environment / Physical Demands
