Summary/Purpose
Set up and operate spherical grinders to produce high-precision parts that meet customer specifications. Ensure quality and efficiency in production while adhering to safety and operational standards.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
5S System Maintenance: Maintain and continuously improve the 5S system, focusing on safety, cleanliness, quality, and ongoing improvement.
Autonomous PM Support: Fully support and accurately execute the Autonomous Preventive Maintenance (PM) System in a timely manner.
Setup and Operation: Utilize Process Prints and Operation Sheets to set up grinders, ensuring parts meet customer specifications.
Measurement and Quality Control: Set up and operate gauges to measure parts at specified intervals, ensuring adherence to quality standards and tolerances.
Production Management: Operate the spherical grinder to produce the required volume of precision parts, meeting production schedules and customer demands.
Monitoring and Adjustments: Continuously monitor machine production and make necessary adjustments to maintain compliance with customer specifications.

Disciplined approach to following Standard Work Practices.
Ability to read and interpret process prints and technical documents.
Proficient in basic math, including decimals and fractions.
Effective communication skills for teamwork and collaboration.
Ability to multi-task and manage diverse responsibilities accurately and efficiently.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to emergency calls as needed.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous mechanical experience is required (Assessment will be utilized)

Work is performed in a normal manufacturing area.
This position has an exposure to moderate noise levels, moving mechanical parts, electrical power distribution and controls, compressed air systems, hydraulic systems, steam distribution and generation, water and sewage systems, various types of lubricants, chemical and wash baths, extreme heat from furnaces, extreme cold from cryogenic units, mechanical machine operation, etc.
Will be regularly required to climb, stand, sit, and reach with hands, fingers, and arms.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
This position requires regular lifting of work up to 40 pounds, and push or pulling work up to 125 pounds with proper equipment.
Employee may perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
