We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Team. Key Responsibilities:
· General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Partner with leadership to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
· Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight: Oversee the timely processing and reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable. Participate in the receivable collection process.
· Audit Preparation: Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and taxation requirements.
· Cost Accounting: Track and report on costs associated with capital projects, operational expenses, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· CPA certification preferred but not required.
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
· Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting.
· Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
· Experience with cost accounting and budget management is highly desirable.
· Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
· Knowledge of regulatory standards in the electric or utility industry is a plus.
