Description : Job Summary :
The Quoting Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire quoting process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role involves managing the quoting team, implementing process improvements, maintaining carrier relationships, and ensuring that all quotes are completed in a timely and accurate manner. The Quoting Manager will work closely with the Senior Quoting Specialist to ensure smooth operations and provide guidance to the quoting team.

- Team Management & Oversight :
Directly manage the quoting team, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight.
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that all quoting specialists adhere to established workflows and procedures.Monitor workload distribution and adjust team assignments to ensure efficiency.Conduct regular training and development sessions to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.Process Management & Improvement :Oversee and refine the quoting process to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Implement and enforce best practices for quoting specialists.Evaluate and optimize workflows, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all quoting activities.Collaboration & Communication :Work closely with the Senior Quoting Specialist to align on team goals and priorities.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the quoting team and internal stakeholders, including account teams.Work with Producers and SR Account Executive pods to develop strategy for renewals and new groupsCoordinate with Producers and SR Account Executive pods on opportunities to add new carriers (i.e Gap) or review our ancillary carriers to maximize our carrier strategy.Work closely with enrollment coordinator for training on products in enrollmentsCarrier & Policy Management :Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Stay informed about industry changes, new carriers, and policy offerings.Evaluate and recommend new policies and carriers based on their strengths and weaknesses.Documentation & Compliance :Ensure proper documentation of quoting processes, decisions, and carrier communications.
Maintain detailed records to support audits, reporting, and process reviews.Type and Scope of Supervisory Responsibilities :

Skills and Qualifications :
Leadership : Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team.Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and analysis.Analytical Skills : Ability to interpret complex insurance documents and translate the information into client-friendly formats.Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with carriers, quoting specialists, and internal teams.Cognitive Skills : Excellent active listening, critical thinking, and judgment abilities to make well-informed decisions effectively.Organizational Skills : Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.Technical Proficiency :o Intermediate-plus proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, capable of utilizing complex formulas, formatting tools, and maintaining the integrity of data and layouts in client presentations.
o Skilled in managing email communications to company standards and performing efficient typing and ten-key data entry, ensuring accuracy without the need for visual checks.
Industry Knowledge : Understanding of insurance products and quoting processes, including self-funded quoting is required.Adaptability in Learning : Ability to quickly learn and retain procedures for various systems, including both internal and external platforms such as carrier quoting sites.Process Improvement : Experience in identifying and addressing process inefficiencies.Carrier Relationship Management : Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships with insurance carriers.Documentation Skills : Exceptional documentation skills to ensure thorough records are kept.Work Experience Preferred for this Job :
Minimum two years of insurance quoting experience, with experience in both small and large group quoting preferred.Minimum two years of leadership or management experience.Education Required for this Job :
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.Health and Life Insurance required. If not licensed employee will be required to receive licensures within the first 60 days of employment.Attendance Requirements :
Daily online attendance required in remote work environment during normal business working hoursIn-person and / or hybrid attendance occasionally required for company and / or team meetings.The Company reserves the right to require in-person attendance at the Company’s worksite at any time. The Company also reserves the right to make full-time attendance at the Company’s worksite an essential job function for this position if attendance becomes necessary to increase productivity, to develop teamwork, to conduct training, to better address customer needs, or to accomplish any other valid business goal. If full-time attendance requirements for this position materially change, the Company will provide thirty (30) days’ prior notice of the change.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Core business hours are 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. but the employee’s schedules are at the discretion of the supervisor and dependent on the needs of the business.Travel :
