Job Description: The Sr. Manager oversees the maintenance and operations of company buildings and grounds in both Spokane and Montreal, ensuring that the environment is safe, efficient, and conducive to productivity. This role involves managing contractors, staff, and resources to maintain and improve facilities, while adhering to budgetary constraints and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair activities to ensure buildings and grounds are kept in optimal condition.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Vendor Management: Select, contract, and manage external vendors and service providers for maintenance, security, cleaning, and other facility-related services.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting costs and monitoring expenditures.
- Space Planning: Manage space allocation and organization within the facilities to accommodate changing business needs and maximize efficiency.
- Project Management: Oversee facility-related projects such as renovations, expansions, and relocations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainable practices in facility operations to reduce environmental impact.
- Communication: Serve as the point of contact for facility-related issues and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent mix of education and experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities management or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully managing large and complex facilities.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) are advantageous.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.
