Job Description:
The Environmental Health & Safety Sr. Specialist will lead the develop and maintain a comprehensive environmental, health, and safety program for the facility, perform EHS inspections, facilitate and lead investigations of recordable injuries and serious accidents, develop, verify and track to completion SMART Corrective Actions, develop and provide safety training and related resources. The Sr. EH&S Specialist will ensure conformity to applicable federal, state, and local standards related to environmental compliance and occupational health and safety (i.e. OSHA, EPA, DOT, State, etc.). Assist in the development & completion of work projects, including creating Work Orders, purchasing equipment, obtaining bids and creating Purchase Orders and track costs and verify accuracy of invoicing. Perform related tasks as assigned.

Primary responsibilities:
- Waste Management
- CAA & SAA inspections
- Label management
- Coordinate and schedule waste shipments
- Waste manifest tracking
- Ensure adequate supply of hazardous waste containers & spill clean-up supplies
- Complete annual hazardous waste report and file with state
- Review and approve waste invoices
- Create/revise waste profiles
- Waste determination of all waste streams generated onsite
- Badging process for EHS contractors
- DOT expert as it pertains to the shipment of hazardous material
- EHS Program & Training Development and revisions
- Facility EHS Inspections
- Includes Pollen and Sullivan
- Wastewater Permit Compliance
- pH probe calibration,
- Monthly DMR report
- Semi-annual sampling events
- Facilitate annual flowmeter calibration
- Zone Coordinator Task Management
- Monthly compliance inspection reports
- Training
- Lead Investigator for all major events, including recordable injuries
- SOP development/revision collaboration
- New product evaluations
- Chemical Management -
- Facility wide Chemical inventories
- Chemical Storage compliance
- Training Coordination
- Respirator
- EHS course
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or related scientific field required.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist, Associate Safety Professional desired.
- Minimum 5 year of related experience required.
- Pharmaceutical experience desired.
- Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint proficiency required.
- The compensation range for this role is $67,725 to $100,000, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
