What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Claims Manager position at Judge Direct Placement?
The Judge Group is in search of a Freight Claims Manager to join a family-owned manufacturer with nearly a century of history in Chicago. You'll take on a new key role within accounting and operations to be a key point of contact internally as well as externally to customers and vendors.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
- Investigate and manage all freight claims from cradle to grave to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Verify all claims are processed and resolved efficiently
- Collect and analyze data to identify potential disparities or discrepancies in the distribution process
- After claims are resolved, make sure financials are updated and accurate
- Collect and maintain all records of communications, transactions and resolutions
- Work with customers to verify details of each claim
Qualifications & Requirements:
- *Position requires traveling to local warehouse so candidates must have reliable transportation
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience in Manufacturing/Distribution/Logistics
- 3 years of experience managing freight claims or accounting/finance support within a logistics company
- Excellent analytical skills and technical system skills including ERP systems and MS Excel
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
