Position Summary:
The Electrical Test Engineer IV will play a critical role in the research and development of advanced robotic-assisted systems. This position involves working on complex electro-mechanical assemblies, from prototype to verification builds, within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in electronic testing, circuit analysis, debugging, and reworking PCBAs, as well as a deep understanding of late-stage manufacturing and design transfer.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute PCB tests for acceptance, design verification, and characterization.
Develop and refine test environments and test cases.
Ensure suitability, testability, and sufficiency of requirements.
Analyze test results, detect issues, and track root causes.
Troubleshoot electronic issues and determine root causes.
Conduct circuit analysis (mixed signal, digital, and analog).
Assemble quick boards and design/execution of tests.
Construct cables and harnesses for test fixtures and prototypes.
Lead or support automated testing systems.
Support repair and updates of existing prototype robotic systems.
Perform soldering reworks for prototype updates and test point harnessing.
Maintain and update eCAD part libraries.
Maintain electronics equipment and components.
Author and support documentation in alignment with regulatory design controls.
Provide timely status reports and effective communication.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in electronic testing.
Hands-on experience in electromechanical motors and motor control.
Strong expertise in circuit analysis (mixed signal, digital, and analog).
Proficiency in evaluating at least three of the following: Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, BISS-C, motor commutation.
Experience in heavily regulated industries (medical device, aerospace) is required.
Knowledge of risk management in electronics and PCB.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
Experience maintaining laboratory and electronic equipment is a plus.
Additional Information:
