Job Description:
We are seeking proactive Mid-Level Liaison Engineers to support our Portland, Oregon site. This role requires individuals who can make prompt engineering decisions and are eager to engage in hands-on engineering within the factory environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Work Environment:
This position is fully onsite, requiring daily exposure to the factory environment, including stairs, trip hazards, high noise areas, chemical hazards, and entering airplanes during various stages of build.
Training Program:
This position participates in a 9-month Training Rotation Program, which may involve assignments to different shifts and potential travel.
Work Authorization:
Must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required.

Job Description:
We are seeking proactive Mid-Level Liaison Engineers to support our Portland, Oregon site. This role requires individuals who can make prompt engineering decisions and are eager to engage in hands-on engineering within the factory environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze, conduct root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for production non-conformances.
- Apply knowledge of design principles to assess and resolve product/process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
- Research technical, operational, and quality issues to support final engineering solutions.
- Identify, document, and analyze reported problems, communicating deviations that could impact design intent and safety; recommend and manage resolutions.
- Develop and implement product/process improvements.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design reviews.
- Represent the engineering community from initial build through production and post-production.
- Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with standards.
- Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Participate in on-site disabled product repair teams, accident investigation, and support teams.
- Analyze damage repair or structural modification to determine appropriate jacking and shoring, prevent collateral damage, and ensure a safe work environment.
- Design interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis.
- Develop non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET or ABET equivalent accredited course of study.
- 5 years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering.
- 5 years of experience in prior Materiel Review Board.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of materials (steel, aluminum, titanium) and their processing.
- Knowledge of machining and machining limitations.
- Proficiency in GD&T and interpreting drawing datums.
- Understanding of gears/shafts and gear interaction.
- Familiarity with material processing techniques.
- Knowledge of functional test requirements.
- Experience with general repair for machined parts.
