The expected ENTRY pay range for this position based on experience and equity within the Judicial Branch is $20.21 to $21.62.
This position is non-exempt under the FLSA.

The Court Administration Assistant provides administrative support to the Court Operations Unit in a high-volume work environment that requires the ability to multi-task, use strong organizational and communication skills to provide exemplary service, both internally and externally, ensuring that the needs of the Court are met effectively.

Position Qualifications

Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Experience:
- Two (2) years of general clerical or administrative experience
OR
Combined Education and Experience Qualifications:
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education or job-related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Principles and processes for providing customer service including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
Skill in:
- The use of Microsoft Office applications
- Written and verbal communication with others to convey information effectively
- Providing exemplary customer service
- The preparation of statistical reports
Ability to:

Essential Job Tasks
(This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.)
- Maintain compliance with department and agency standards regarding the confidentiality of records.
- Work closely with Commissioner Division Staff and Judicial Officers.
- Process petitions for complex and highly confidential case types.
- Creates Detained Calendar folders and sends out communication to divisions.
- Responsible for adoption checklists sent to assigned divisions
- Process Adoption Certification Orders and send them to the division for a ruling.
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers by phone, email, and in person to answer questions.
- Provide assistance to customers at a high-level information desk.
- Process Petitions from Petition Filed List, from County Attorney.
- Work on a media-developed project, National Adoption Day.
- Work on Back Pack project once a year for adoptions.
- Trains new and existing staff on department policies, procedures, and processes
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to photocopying, scanning faxing, mailing, and data entry
- Assist with projects assigned by lead and/or supervisor.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to communicate clearly, perceive details of objects that are close by, and maintain various physical positions for extended periods, such as sitting, standing, or walking. The job may involve using hands for tasks such as typing, handling objects, or operating tools, as well as reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee may be required to move or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County participates in the State Retirement systems ASRS or PSPRS. As such, mandatory membership for all full-time employees includes payroll deducted contributions consistent with each retirement system's requirements. The current contribution rate for ASRS is 12.27% and the current contribution rate for PSPRS is 5.84% and up for the defined contribution plan and 8.82% for the defined benefit plan. Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
