What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Server position at Judicial Services?
What is a private process server? Their principal job is to deliver or "serve" legal documents to a defendant or person involved in a court case.
Process servers are needed for our busy DC Metropolitan process serving company. This is an independent contractor (1099) position which involves driving to locations to serve court documents with all serves requiring completion at the location provided. Experience in process serving or related work is preferred, but not required. We thoroughly train and welcome sharp individuals regardless of industry knowledge.
This type of work is perfect for individuals with a desire to supplement existing income. Compensation is based on the number of services completed and will be discussed in detail during the interview process. The following areas need immediate coverage: Anne Arundel County.
Independent contractors must have flexibility for daytime, evening and weekend assignments. Positions are available immediately.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age
Must hold a valid driver's license with proof of insurance
Must have reliable transportation
Smartphone with camera
Ability to read a map or operate a GPS
Internet access with an active email account
Ability to fax, scan, print and copy documents
