PRIMARY PURPOSE :
Assists with the receiving, storing, maintaining inventory control and the issuing and delivering of food and other items to campus locations and assumes the responsibility of the Supervisor in his / her absence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Experience in warehousing, i.e. receiving, stocking, delivering, and inventory control procedures
- Valid Texas Driver's License, a good driving record, and proof of insurance on vehicle used to travel to district
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check

Working knowledge of pallet jack and forkliftAbility to operate hand tools and mechanical equipmentAbility to perform basic arithmeticMust be to be punctual and dependableMust be able to understand instructions and communicate in basic EnglishAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedures manualsExperience :

Assume the responsibility of warehouse supervisor in his absenceAssist in filling school orders for food and other itemsAssist with delivery of food and other items to all campuses weeklyReceive all materials ordered and unload all incoming deliveries for the departmentCheck purchase orders against invoice and inventoryObtain authorized signatures for suppliesOpen crates and containers using hand tools and inspects shipments for damage or defectsSort and store items according to established proceduresCorrect unsafe conditions or needed repairs in work area and vehicles or equipment and reports any conditions that are not correctable to the Supervisor immediatelyOn a daily basis, sweep and clean warehouse, including freezer and cooler.Clean truck (cab and bed) daily and oil bed every other weekLoad and unload delivery truck by hand or by use of hand truckPerform other duties as assigned, based on department needsMust complete designated district technology proficiencies each yearRequires a basic knowledge of technology / computer skillsAbility to use personal computer to access district programs, emails, and other resourcesMaintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearanceEnsure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of EthicsDaily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the jobSupervisory Responsibilities :
