PRIMARY PURPOSE :
The Teacher participates as a member of the instructional staff in planning for teaching, motivating RTI II / III students, developing classroom climate, managing the classroom, interacting with pupils and evaluating pupils.

Education and Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with appropriate certification for position
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with required endorsements for subject and level

Prepares and facilitates RTI lessons to provide direct service to students.Provides support services for struggling RTI II / III at-risk students who are experiencing difficulties in Reading and / or Math subject areas in a RTI pull-out model and maintains an instructional daily roster.Collaborates and consults with Instructional Leaders, core teachers, and parents to improve the instruction for struggling students.Plans the long and short range objectives for RTI II and III students.Implements ISD's approved RTI curricula.Follows pre-developed lesson plans to support the academic growth of RTI students.Maximizes amount of time available for instruction.Uses research-based best practices in teaching and learning.Creates a classroom climate conducive to pupil intellectual, social, emotional and moral development.Communicates effectively with students, teachers, and parents.Evaluates and provides feedback on student performance continuously through Progress Monitoring at designated intervals.Maintains accurate student records and other reports in compliance with local and state requirements.Participates in district and campus professional development activitiesInteracts and communicates effectively with parents and district and school staff.Participates in the planning, presentation, and evaluation of various school activities.Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearanceEnsure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of EthicsDaily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the jobSupervisory Responsibilities :
Supervision and evaluation of District personnel is not a requirement of the position; however, the supervision of students is required.
