Job Purpose: Provide maintenance services as needed and/or assigned. Assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities, addressing immediate operational and/or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Related experience in facility maintenance and the ability to complete building repairs.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work under limited supervision.
· Must have a valid Minnesota driver’s license and proof of insurance.
· Must be able to pass background check by DHS and a national background check.
· Must be able to pass a drug screen.
· If applicant has a substance abuse history, he/she must be in compliance with DHS regulations. Two years of confirmed abstinence from all mood altering substances.
· Mechanically minded and have some experience handling basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing tools.
· The position requires the following physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing, frequent stooping, possible kneeling, the position requires 15% sitting, 45% walking and 40% climbing ladders and/or stairs. The position is performed under all temperature conditions and in a generally hazard free environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Keep an inventory of all Juel Fairbanks tools and equipment. Maintain all tools in good working order.
· Supervise and maintain grass cutting, lawn maintenance in the summer, in the fall supervise lawn care, such as removing all old plants from garden and raking leaves for compost (garden area) in the winter supervise snow removal from all properties, supervise cleaning of all entry ways and public sidewalks.
· Routine checks of all HVAC equipment, clean filters in furnaces and ensure proper maintenance. Maintain all air conditioning systems in the summer. Make sure all buildings are maintained at a comfortable setting. In the fall take out all window air conditioners and store properly.
· Inspect and maintain all furniture in the buildings. Repair or notify supervise new items need to be purchased.
· Maintain JFRS vehicles, such as fluid checks, Keep gas tanks full and vehicles clean. Ensure that vehicles are operating in a safe condition, report all malfunctions to supervisor and make arrangements with a dealership or garage for repair.
· Coordinate and assist skilled tradesmen for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
· Respond to emergency situations at the facility during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Create and maintain emergency plans for the facility, such as fire drills, severe storm warnings, flooding and etc.
· Keep inventory of all food and cleaning products – shop for food products and cleaning products as needed by the facility.
· Light cleaning.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
