Job Opening: Digital Production Lead

Where: Saint Charles, Missouri

Who We Are: Hey there! We're Juiced Wheels. We started as an e-bike shop, and now we're growing and evolving in exciting new directions. We're passionate about e-bikes and are building out our capabilities to create awesome digital content and resources for the enthusiast community. We're investing in cool technology and looking for great people to help us build something special. Sound interesting? We think so too!

What's the Gig? This isn't just any job; it's a chance to be our founding Digital Production Lead! Yep, you'd be our first dedicated production hire, playing a huge part in getting our digital creation process up and running. You'll jump right in with the fruits of our professional studio equipment to help edit and finalize video content and get our 3D scanning operation rolling. We're looking for someone who's hands-on, loves figuring things out, gets excited about building new workflows, and wants to work with cool tech. Basically, you'll be key to building our in-house digital production power!

What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Video Magic: Taking video footage and making it awesome – editing, color grading, adding graphics, the works! You'll likely be using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • 3D Scanning: Running the show for our 3D scanning setup. You'll use professional 3D scanning equipment to capture e-bike parts, handling everything from setup to getting the raw data.
  • Wrangling 3D Models: Taking that raw scan data and cleaning it up. You'll process, align, and optimize the 3D models using industry-standard software, getting them ready for different uses (web, docs, maybe even 3D printing!).
  • Keeping Things Tidy: Helping us set up and keep track of all our digital stuff – videos, 3D models, photos, project files. We need a good system!
  • Building the Playbook: Helping figure out the best ways to do things and writing it down (creating SOPs, quality checklists) so we can be consistent as we grow.
  • Team Player: Working closely with our tech experts, writers, and other future team members to make sure the assets you create are spot-on for what they need.
  • Staying Sharp & Solving Problems: Keeping up with the latest video editing tricks, 3D scanning tech, software updates, and related tools. When things go sideways in production, you'll help figure it out.
  • Pitching In: It's a startup vibe! You might sometimes help out with taking photos or shooting video if needed.

What You Absolutely Need to Bring:

  • Solid experience editing video professionally – color correction, audio mixing, graphics, the whole deal. Got a portfolio? We wanna see it! You should know your way around Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
  • You've either worked with professional 3D scanning hardware and processing software before OR you're a super quick learner who can prove you can master new tech fast. Knowing about structured light scanning is a big plus!
  • Experience cleaning up 3D scan data using relevant software. You get the basics of optimizing meshes.
  • Seriously good organizational skills. You know how to manage tons of digital files without losing your mind.
  • You're comfortable using software suites like Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • You sweat the small stuff (in a good way!) and really care about quality and attention to detail in all things.
  • You're a self-starter! You can work on your own, figure things out, set priorities, and tackle problems head-on.
  • You communicate well and enjoy working with others.
  • A Bachelor's degree in something relevant (Media, Digital Arts, Animation, Engineering) OR equivalent real-world experience that shows you've mastered video and 3D workflows (the portfolio is especially important here).

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Played around with photogrammetry.
  • An inkling about other 3D capture methods (like LiDAR) or point cloud processing
  • Experience with 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, or PBR texturing (using tools like Blender, Substance Painter?).
  • A love for e-bikes, cycling, or just tinkering with mechanical stuff!
  • Ever set up production workflows from scratch before.
  • Basic graphic design chops (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Used AI tools for media or 3D workflow enhancement.
  • Worked with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.

Why Join Us? What's In It For You?

  • Get in on the ground floor! This is a huge chance to help shape a company moving in exciting new directions.
  • You get to build and run a key part of our digital production strategy.
  • Play with awesome, cutting-edge tech (like professional 3D scanning and video gear).
  • Work in a fun, collaborative, and forward-thinking environment.
  • Competitive pay and benefits (we'll chat about the specifics!).
  • Make a real impact and be super visible in a growing company.
  • As the company grows, we plan to offer additional benefits, such as health insurance, but in the meantime you can expect an annual bonus based on personal and company performance.

Ready to Apply? Awesome! Send us your resume, a cover letter telling us why you're the perfect person to kick things off with us, and a portfolio link (showcasing video edits and any 3D stuff you've done).
