Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transferring between locations (e.g., bed to wheelchair).
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in settings such as Level I Trauma Centers, teaching hospitals, or critical care environments.
Skills
- Experience in home community care or senior care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical office systems and hospital medicine practices.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
- Strong caregiving skills, demonstrating empathy and patience.
