Therapy Technician/Aide

Jump Start is a lively pediatric outpatient therapy clinic seeking someone with a heart for kids and an eye for detail to keep our clinic running in tip top shape! This part-time support position (with no direct patient care) is perfect for a pre-professional therapy student seeking clinical experience! The right candidate will thrive on organization, cleanliness, and attention to all the behind-the-scenes details that keep our facility running smoothly and our therapists focused on providing excellent care.

Hours and Schedule:

Hours: 20-24 hours per week

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:15 AM - 1:15 PM, 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

This position is essential to our team’s success, so reliable attendance is a must!

Qualifications:

• Prior healthcare or cleaning experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA compliance a plus.
• Clear, effective, and professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Attention to detail with consistent adherence to established clinic policies and procedures.
• Ability to self-initiate, problem-solve, organize, prioritize, execute, and be accurate with minimal supervision.
• Ability to receive direction, accept constructive feedback, and work effectively as a team member.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Clean, disinfect, and restock therapy toys, supplies, equipment, and laundry.
• Complete light daily cleaning, disinfection, and tidying throughout facility.
• Perform light facility and therapy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Assist with administrative or clinical projects and preparations for training, holidays, and other occasions.

Environmental Considerations:

• Candidates must be capable of continuous physical activity for most of each shift. This position consistently requires standing, walking, twisting, lifting up to 35 pounds, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, crawling, and kneeling.
• Chemicals used in the clinic such as cleaners, disinfectants, and soaps.
• Noise and distractions with occasional unpredictable behaviors.
