Position Overview:
We are seeking a Recruiter with Federal Government Hiring Experience to join our growing team. This position requires expertise in recruiting for federal government contracts, with a focus on compliance, efficient hiring processes, and strategic talent acquisition. The successful candidate will have experience working with the federal hiring process, including knowledge of security clearance protocols, federal regulations, and the 8(a) Business Development Program.
Duties
- Recruitment & Sourcing: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to source candidates for federal government contracts, ensuring a diverse pool of qualified applicants.
- Compliance: Ensure all recruiting efforts adhere to federal guidelines, including FAR, SCA, EEO, and other relevant regulations governing federal hiring practices.
- Hiring Process Management: Manage the full recruitment cycle for federal contracts, from posting job openings on USAJOBS to conducting interviews, extending offers, and processing new hires.
- Security Clearance: Navigate the complexities of recruiting candidates who require security clearances and manage all associated processes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams and government clients to understand staffing needs and provide timely updates on recruitment efforts.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track and report key recruiting metrics, providing regular updates on the status of hiring processes, candidate pipeline, and diversity goals.
- Talent Pool Development: Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future federal government contracts, leveraging various sourcing methods, including job fairs, networking, and recruitment events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a recruiter, ideally with a focus on federal government contracts or staffing for government agencies.
- Deep knowledge of the federal hiring process, including security clearances, USAJOBS, and the 8(a) Business Development Program.
- Familiarity with FAR, SCA, EEO, and other relevant government regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both candidates and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple hiring processes and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and compliance.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools to streamline the hiring process.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
