What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Teacher position at Jumping Jelly Beans Daycare?
We are currently hiring for an assistant teacher in our young pre k classroom. If you are looking for a fun and rewarding job with children this could be the perfect job for you! Enjoy coming to work everyday in a fun environment with young children. We have 7 classrooms in our facility that are split up by age. A normal day consist of carrying for the needs of young children, including implementing a weekly lesson plans for daily art, music, fine motor, and gross motor through hands on play. These positions are full time 7:00 am-3:30 pm and 7:30-4:30 in our pre k room. Pay is based off of education and experience in the field. Come join our team!

- High School Diploma and/or GED
- Some daycare experience preferred
- CDA or degree preferred
-Responsibilities
· Provide for the basic needs of children while following all state standards and best practices.
· Provide a positive classroom environment that encourages learning.
· Dress children and change diapers (if applicable). Assist children in dressing themselves and help with toileting.
· Sanitize toys and play equipment daily/weekly according to the cleaning chart listed in the classroom.
· Clean and sterilize any bottles or cups kept in the classroom.
· Read to and play with children. Engage children in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day such as: painting, drawing, singing, sensory, etc.
· Follow the daily schedule posted in the classroom.
· Assist the lead teacher in implementing the daily activities posted on the classroom’s lesson plan. Offer input, ideas, and activities to the Lead teacher for the creation of weekly lesson plans.
· Prepare activities during nap time for the following day.
· Communicate with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues during at drop off/pickup.
· Perform general administrative tasks such as taking attendance, maintaining/submitting classroom paperwork, distributing notices to parents, obtaining signatures from parents on student paperwork (when lead teacher is unavailable)
· Work as a team player completing job task in a timely manner

Pay: $10.00 - $11.00 per hour
