Description
The Code Enforcement Inspector is responsible for the enforcement of the adopted Property Maintenance Code, and other related ordinance of the City of Junction City. This position is required investigating complaints, inspect residential and commercial properties, apply appropriate enforcement procedures, and maintain detailed reports of their actions.
Examples of Duties
- Responds to complaints in regards to code violations.
- Performs follow-up inspections to ensure corrections are made.
- Works with owners, property managers, tenants and other agencies on violations observed on a property.
- Prepares and maintains case files.
- Inspects the exterior of properties and structures for code violations and dangerous and unsafe structures.
- Administers the adopted Property Maintenance Code and other related ordinances.
- Works with the City of Junction City Prosecutor to adjudicate violations.
- Communicates information effectively, accurately, and timely with internal and external customers.
- Order abatements on properties as necessary
- Other duties as assigned.
