Laboratory Coordinator

Juniata College invites applications for the position of Laboratory Coordinator. The Laboratory Coordinator will support the educational success of Juniata’s Natural Science students by providing them with safe and well-equipped laboratory learning spaces in which they will hone their scientific skills. The Laboratory Coordinator will support laboratory operations across the Natural Sciences at Juniata by coordinating purchasing and receiving of chemicals and scientific supplies. Working alongside Juniata’s Chemical Hygiene Officer, the Laboratory Coordinator will contribute meaningfully to maintaining laboratory safety standards, most especially by maintaining an up-to-date chemical inventory. The Laboratory Coordinator will help to facilitate high quality student laboratory experiences by providing general laboratory support for faculty and students in the Natural Science Division and by assisting faculty with upkeep of major scientific instrumentation, improving the performance and longevity of instrumentation and minimizing instrument downtime. In this work, the Laboratory Coordinator will work collaboratively with faculty and staff across the Natural Science Division and especially in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department.
