AS A LABORATORY DIRECTOR, you’ll be responsible for organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating clinical laboratory and pathologist support services and programs within general guidelines and standards established by the physician director and regulatory agencies. Responsible for overseeing all activities throughout the laboratory; Quality control, quality assurance, performance appraisals, Financials, budget, evaluations, discipline, ordering, proficiencies, billing, competencies, job shadow assignments, monthly reports, DOH regulations, policy manager, RL event forms, reviewing reports, licensure upkeep, and oversees scheduling. Coordinates with the other services within the hospital.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a degree in Medical Technology (4 years), or related field preferred
- Must have a minimum of 5 years management experience
- Must be registered as a Medical Technologist with ASCP or AMT
- Must have a commitment to customer service
- Must be a team player
