SUMMARY
The Experiential Learning Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of JA BizTown and JA Finance Park with particular emphasis on volunteer retention, simulation implementation, support and recognition. This position facilitates activities of consultants and teachers, upholds quality standards for the organization, assures adherence to program models and program expansion, develops and maintains good educator relationships at all levels. The Experiential Learning Coordinator is a spokesperson representing the organization to constituencies, both internal and external, primarily to volunteers and educational clients. This position reports to the Experiential Learning Manager and will work closely with other JA Finance Park Staff, education staff and the board education committee.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Programs
- Manage simulation day efficiently and effectively when students are present by leading simulation process on the microphone.
- Prepare for simulation by following morning set-up guidelines and afternoon cleaning and re-set procedures.
- Maintain overall instructional excellence of the program for all stakeholders (educators, students & volunteers).
- Understand how to troubleshoot computer issues and/or reach out to IT for assistance. Store and charge all tablets after each simulation.
- Assist Experiential Learning Manager as needed with the JA BizTown and/or JA Finance Park software by setting up daily simulations and running reports.
- Facilitate or Support morning volunteer training and check-in.
- Monitor inventory of simulation materials and forms. Order needed supplies and/or inform Experiential Learning Manager of supply needs.
- Communicate with Experiential Learning Manager to recognize potential problems, questions/concerns, etc.
- Supports recruitment and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing; excellent public speaking skills.

- Be creative, innovative and progressive; possess good problem-solving skills.
- Computer literate; knowledge of Word and Excel and experience with database software. CRM preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job-related experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-starter.
- Prior volunteer management.
- Successful completion of civil, criminal and motor vehicle background checks.
- Successfully pass drug testing.
- Ability to work in multiple environments, year-round temperatures, lift at least 25lbs, sit or stand for long periods of time, typing or using a computer for extended periods of time.

Additionally, the person in this role will be required to occasionally lift or carry 25-50 pounds.
