Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development and experience working with children of various ages. The Child Care Teacher will be responsible for implementing educational activities, managing classroom behavior, and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Provide supervision and care for children in a safe environment.
- Engage children in educational activities that enhance their cognitive, social, and emotional skills.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that is conducive to learning.
- Observe and assess children's development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in various capacities such as babysitting, nannying, or teaching.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- Experience in infant care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Ability to educate and engage students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A compassionate approach towards working with children of all abilities, including those with disabilities.
