What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Associate position at Juniper?
- Verify that purchase orders match outgoing orders, ensuring product type, quantity, and specifications accuracy.
- Inspect outgoing products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and address product defects, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
- Intake incoming products, identify and document point(s) of failure.
- Conduct cross-checks between purchase orders, packing lists, and shipment documentation.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders and outgoing shipments.
- Package orders according to the intended packing design. Use purposeful packaging techniques to minimize product damage without a defined packaging system.
- Communicate with clients to organize clients to arrange pick-ups and respond to shipping-related questions in professional etiquette.
- Wrapping and strapping pallets safe freight transport.
- Prepare international shipping documents with thoroughness.
- Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat, maintaining a clean shipping supply area, and complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Coordinate with the Production and Operations team to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory for shipping needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least two years of experience in Shipping & Receiving, Inventory, or related positions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent reading comprehension and capacity to follow written directions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and follow SOPs.
- Excellent computer and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read orders and match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
