What You'll Do The Tradeshow and Event Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in the successful execution of tradeshows and events. This position involves collaborating with various departments to coordinate logistics and set up for all tradeshows and events, as well as manage day-today administrative tasks.Position Responsibilities Assist with the execution of all tradeshow and events.Collaborates with other departments to gather details & coordinate all tradeshow and event related set up tasks (for example : mannequins and pedastal placements).Handle the day-to-day administration of events and programs, including creating & distributing event orders (EO's); vendor partner monitoring; issue resolution; and invoice / expense managementAttends and participates in meetings with cross-departmental colleagues to align on events and amenities to be executed during Markets or Events.Conducts a post-event walk through to ensure that all damage is documented and reported, with event venue left in a clean and orderly condition.Coordinates the handling, transport and storage of all equipment and tools in inventory, to protect against damage.Supports temporary staffing (Labor and Contractors) required to execute Markets and Events.Monitors contractor progress during tradeshows and events.Makes recommendations for new equipment and monitors existing equipment for potential replacement (printers, monitors, audio equipment) in all Show Offices.Creates and posts directional signage for events and market as needed and assigned.Supports floorplan modification, revisions and audits.Supports Tradeshow and Events Electrical services.Maintains confidentiality of sensitive materials.Reports damages / incidents to Manager as they occur.Reviews and updates Exhibitor Services Manuals.Communicates information to appropriate Departments to produce timely resolution ensuring customer satisfaction.Ensures that customers receive assistance in a positive, professional and efficient manner.Enforces building rules, security policies, event and fire / life safety policies.Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age.Must have valid driver's license.A minimum of one years' experience in tradeshows or events.Able to work efficiently in a high-volume production environment and multitask.Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. of weight. This includes lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment.Excellent customer service skills.Professional appearance and demeanor.Work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.Able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms.Must be able to respond calmly and handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.Must be willing to work outside in varied elements.Personal CharacteristicsEnergy, drive, vision, and credibility to partner with the team whose operational excellence is critical to the success of the company.Actively participates in creating and maintaining a work environment and culture that fosters team spirit high with a focus on the achievement of growth and profit objectives.Demonstrated ability to influence and work closely with team at all levels within the organization.Sensitivity to the business practices, rules and regulations, effective business tactics, and cultural norms of the environment.Upbeat and positive attitude, commitment to winning results.Self-motivation and deadline-driven focus.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Each of the items listed is considered an essential function of the position.
