Be a part of shaping JUNK’s exciting new business growth by helping us launch a brand-new product line this summer. The Marketing Intern will assist in the professional execution and delivery of JUNK’s omnichannel campaigns supporting our marketing strategy and business goals for revenue. The marketing intern specifically has ownership over direct and paid marketing for JUNK’s local retail store, The Garage (@garagebyjunk). They will also work with the Marketing Operations Manager, Social Media Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator to create and deploy marketing assets across our paid, owned, and earned marketing channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a content strategy for the Garage social media accounts.
  • Build and deploy marketing emails for The Garage with our Marketing Coordinator.
  • Oversee and report on performance ads for The Garage.
  • Identify local ambassadors for events and promotion in the Garage.
  • Work with our creative team to make content for our main channels, including organic and ads.
  • Manage day-to-day communication and social listening for the brand : Instagram, Facebook, X, and TikTok.
  • Actively search for and onboard ambassadors for our JUNK Athlete Ambassador program through social.
  • Coordinate ambassador and influencer content for social channels with our marketing team.

  • Basic understanding of B2C and B2B marketing channels, tactics, and strategies to generate exposure and brand awareness, and a curiousity to learn more.
  • Ability to review platform data of campaign delivery and synthesize reports and presentations for the marketing team and leadership.
  • Creative mind that thrives on creating content for social, in line with best practices for each platform.
  • Detail oriented mind with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to juggle numerous tasks at once and push their team to deliver assets and execute on time with excellence.
  • Familiarity with terms like ROAS, CPA, CPC, CPM, MER, LTV and other related marketing metrics. Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or institution, emphasis in marketing preferred (either complete or in-progress).
  • Proven marketing experience across a range of marketing disciplines, including channel ownership and development.
  • History of leadership in a previous role.
  • Demonstrates a connective, collaborative, and growth-minded attitude.
  • Understands marketing tools and platforms : Office 365 and Mac OSX, Google Ads, Analytics, Meta & TikTok Business Managers, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Shopify and similar services for CRM in direct and performance marketing channels. Experience with project management tools like Asana, Workday, or others a definite plus.
  • Physical / Mental Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated) 80% of the day and occasionally reach, bend, and move inside the office to access files and product.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform computer tasks and operate other office machinery.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates internally and externally and must be able to exchange accurate detailed information in a clear, professional manner
