What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Manager position at Junk Raider?
Location: Based In Mooresville, NC (Serving the Charlotte, Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, & Beyond.)
Compensation: Starting at $15/hour, with potential to exceed $20/hour based on experience, plus tips and bonuses. PLUS commission opportunities for securing contracts.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Saturday (hours may vary based on workload, typically starting at 7 AM and aiming to finish by 5 PM, but some flexibility is required).

Additionally, we also own Bullish Structures, where we specialize in building sheds, garages, barns, dog kennels, chicken coops, workshops, and more. If you have experience in carpentry or building structures, that’s a huge bonus, but not a requirement.
The Role:
As a Field Manager at Junk Raider, you will play a key leadership role in delivering top-notch junk removal and related services to homes and businesses across our service areas. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and Coaching: Lead by example, inspire your team, and provide guidance and mentorship to fellow team members. You’ll be a natural coach, always finding ways to make your crew better. Your leadership will set the tone for the company, and you'll create an atmosphere where employees feel supported, respected, and motivated.
- Customer Service Excellence: You'll be the face of Junk Raider, meeting new customers, listening to their needs, and ensuring that every interaction delivers an exceptional experience. You'll have the opportunity to form lasting relationships with both customers and coworkers.
- Junk Removal & More: From removing unwanted items at homes and businesses to performing local moves, hauling bulky items, and operating trucks and heavy equipment for demolition jobs, you will have your hands full with a variety of interesting and rewarding tasks.
- Sales Performance & Prospecting: You’ll also be responsible for sales. Whether it's cold dropping at businesses like apartment complexes, self-storage facilities, or retail businesses, you’ll actively sell our services, including valet trash services for apartment complexes, bulky item removal, dumpster pad cleanups, and more. You'll have the opportunity to earn commissions and residual income from securing long-term contracts.
- Daily Operations: Safely drive our trucks, coordinate job schedules, optimize routes, and ensure that the work is done efficiently. Your ability to leverage technology will help streamline operations. You’ll ensure our tools and equipment are in top shape, ready to take on any job that comes our way.

Qualifications:
- Experience in Junk Removal Industry: Previous experience in the junk removal industry is a HUGE bonus, especially if you have experience working with major franchises like 1-800-GOT-JUNK, Junkluggers, or Junk King. Your knowledge of best practices, industry standards, and efficiency will be an incredible asset to our team.
- Proven Sales Experience: You must be comfortable with selling and have a proven track record in sales. This role requires charisma, a positive attitude, and the ability to close deals while creating a great customer experience.
- Leadership Skills: You should have a natural ability to lead by example, coach your team, and create a culture of accountability, support, and fun.
- Physical Stamina & Dependability: This is a physically demanding job that requires the ability to lift at least 100 pounds. We’re looking for someone with an outstanding work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Driving & Safety: You’ll need a clean driving record with no accidents or traffic violations in the last 3-5 years. Experience driving a box truck is preferred, and heavy equipment operation is a bonus!
- Carpentry or Building Experience (Bonus): While not required, experience in carpentry, specifically building sheds or similar structures, would be a huge asset.
- Team Player with a Strong Work Ethic: We are a tight-knit team, and we are looking for someone who is dependable, trustworthy, and motivated to lead by example.
