Finance Manager
This individual is responsible for overseeing the Firm’s finance functions, along with supervising and performing accounting activities, which may include : financial reporting, time keeping, billing, A / P and A / R, payroll etc. This individual will be responsible for the overall financial planning and financial management for the Firm, including responsibility for the following :

- Supervises and oversees the daily operations of the accounting department
- Planning and implementing the firm’s annual budget
- Financial and Tax Reporting
- General ledger and trust accounting
- Assisting with billing and collections
- Cash flow control
- Managing banking relationships and reviewing bank deposits
- Compliance of trust account(s) with applicable regulations and requirements.
- Reviewing and approving accounts payable.
- Preparing financial reports for partner meetings and as requested by Managing Partner or other partners.
- Assigns projects and directs staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Guides the billing coordinators by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
- Develops processes, procedures and guidelines for the billing department
- Accounts Payable - post all payable invoices to general ledger accounts and make payments
- Process all expense reimbursements
- Reconcile Credit Card Statements
- Process Refunds
- Maintain Trust Account / process transfers and apply to matters
- Accounts Receivable – oversees the collection of money owed the firm by working with Partners, Attorneys and Account Managers
- Open new matters in PC Law
- Responsible for wire transfers – identify and post
- Post payroll to general ledger
- Keep track of payroll deductions (Transit, Health Insurance, Health Savings Account, etc.)
- Order transit checks and distribute to employees
- Maintain 401K deduction and payments
- Maintain Income Spreadsheet
- Reconcile Bank Accounts
- Research matters for Partners, Associates and Paralegals
