Our client, a global insurance company in Conshohocken, PA is searching for an HR Director who will be responsible for overseeing all Human Resource functions for corporate staff and across multiple subsidiary companies. Accountable to ensuring consistent policies, practices, and compliance with labor laws while aligning talent strategies with the overall corporate goals, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration across all subsidiaries. This role is onsite 3-4x per week.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Maintain comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the holding company's business objectives, including talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.
- Policy Development and Compliance: Establish and maintain consistent HR policies across all subsidiaries to ensure compliance with labor laws, including employment standards, anti-discrimination practices, and employee safety regulations.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment and selection process for corporate key positions, as well as across subsidiaries, ensuring a consistent approach to identifying and attracting high-quality candidates.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues across subsidiaries, including conflict resolution, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances, while promoting a positive work environment.
- Compensation and Benefits: Maintain competitive compensation and benefits packages across all subsidiaries, considering market trends and subsidiary needs.
- Leadership Development: Identify and develop high-potential employees across subsidiaries through training programs, mentoring initiatives, and succession planning.
- Performance Management: Oversee the implementation of performance management systems across all subsidiaries to ensure clear expectations, regular feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Collaboration with Subsidiary Leadership: Partner with leaders of subsidiary companies to understand their specific HR needs and align HR strategies accordingly.
- Cost Management: Monitor HR expenses across subsidiaries and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising employee engagement.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on key HR metrics, including turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and workforce diversity, to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or equivalent business experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience of hands-on Human Resources in an administrative, coordinator, or related support role.
- SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, ideally within a complex, multi-company structure.
- Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic HR plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders across multiple subsidiaries.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed HR decisions.
- Leadership skills to manage and motivate a team of HR professionals across different locations.
- Must be responsive in managing issues that require timely management/oversight and ability to bring things to closure.
- Driven self-starter, quick learner, intellectually curious, able to think and work independently, adaptable, own key initiatives, sense of urgency, integrate easily into collaborative teamwork, and willing to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility.
- Strong project management (launch to execution) skills with an ability to multitask, manage, and prioritize multiple and competing projects at once.
- Strong computer and technical skills (Microsoft Office), working knowledge of core HR practices and principles, HRIS experience (preferably ADP).

Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
