Summary: The FOM is responsible for the entire guest experience from reservation through post-stay communication. This includes the reservation experience online and over the phone. This person leads to ensure smooth front desk operations, excellent guest service, and hotel profitability. The Front Office Manager will lead and train all front desk staff, coordinate with housekeeping and facilities teams daily, and handle administrative tasks associated with the front desk or those required by management.

Reports to: Assistant General Manager
Supervises: All Front Desk and Audit Staff
Staff Relationships: All Jupiter Hotel Employees
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.
- Maintain a positive front desk culture of compassion, inclusion, and respect
- Manage, supervise, coach, and address corrective action for all front desk staff
- Conduct all front desk training and re-training as needed, create and manage Training materials
- Participate in the selection and hiring of front desk staff
- Confirm the front desk schedule is published every 2 weeks and maintain seasonal staffing levels
- Ensure company standards, guest service standards, and operational goals are met by the front desk staff
- Respond promptly to guest email inquiries
- Maintain proper inventory for all of the following: room package items, minibar items, front desk supplies, office supplies, and brand merchandise
- Track and ensure the profitability of minibar and brand merchandise programs.
- Serve as Property Manager on Duty if AGM or GM is not present.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team about upcoming groups and ensure the front desk staff is informed and prepared
- Responsible for the entirety of a guest experience starting when a reservation is made through all post-stay surveys and reviews
- Assists with support of reservation management for ALL channels
- Assist accounting by researching and disputing credit card fraud disputes
- Oversee accurate room inventory by assessing occupancy levels, opening/closing inventory when needed, and managing oversells
- Ensure self and team are completing property walkthroughs on a semi-regular basis.
- Approve purchases within budget limits and submit invoices, payouts, and reimbursements to the accounting department
- Process the front desk cash payments & deposits weekly
- Balance the front desk $300 bank and the $400 Change Supply
- Responsible for managing guest lost and found processes
- Assist AGM in revenue management with 3rd party and in-house rates
- Occasionally act as project manager on special assignments
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to assist the desk supervisors in covering all front desk shifts, including Night Audit and weekend days
- Additional tasks as requested by the AGM or GM.
Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience
- Minimum of 1 year working Front of House in hotels/hostel businesses, or Supervising in a customer service role
