Jupiter Power is an energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. The Jupiter team has a long history of successful ventures in the power industry and commenced development of both its project pipeline and proprietary software technology in 2017. In 2019 Jupiter partnered with a leading private equity firm to roll out its project portfolio and will complete construction of its first assets this year.
Jupiter Power seeks an office-based Assistant Project Manager (APM) who will support utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Projects and Substation Projects. The APM is the CEO of his or her assigned projects and in charge of Project Safety, Scheduling, the Projects Budget, Contract Management, and Construction Quality conforming to Jupiter Powers expectations.
The Assistant Project Manager will be expected to travel to project sites as often as it is required by the projects needs, but will otherwise be based out of the Company's Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Chicago, IL offices and be subject to our return-to-office policy which currently requires employees work a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Must be familiar with Project Management process including Budgeting, Contract Negotiations, Change Order Negotiations, and Scheduling including the use of scheduling software. PMP Certification is a plus.
- Must be versed in Construction safety (OSHA 30 training certificate is a plus)
- Must have 2 years of Construction experience, including on-site experience
- Must have a valid drivers license, eligible for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid passport for travel outside the U.S.
Key Responsibilities
Supports the overall design of the project coordinating external and internal engineering resources.
Leads by example to show that safety is the most important function, ensuring that all employees follow safe practices while working.
Provides excellence in the management and delivery of the project, in-line with Jupiters expectations.
Accountable for the project budget, costs to date, forecasts cost to completion, procurement and materials management.
Ensures EPC is following the Contract and reviews Change orders.
This role is office-based with travel required to other Jupiter offices, remote worksites, and construction sites. Candidates will be required to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods of time, and must be able to lift up to ten pounds repetitively.
Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background investigation and may be subject to drug tests as a condition of employment.
