Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with clients to gather pertinent information for cases.
- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by organizing evidence and exhibits.
- Review and transcribe legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Perform document review to identify relevant information for ongoing cases.
- Maintain organized files and records for all legal cases, ensuring easy access to information.
- Draft contracts and other legal documents as required by the attorneys.
- Conduct legal research on various topics related to family law and environmental law.
- Assist in managing deadlines and schedules for court filings and other legal obligations.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Paralegal or in a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
- Strong knowledge of family law and environmental law is preferred.
- Excellent interviewing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Proficient in document review processes and legal case management practices.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Ability to transcribe documents accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks within a legal setting is advantageous.
- A degree in Paralegal Studies or related field is preferred but not required; relevant experience will be considered.
