School Cafeteria Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafeteria Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while assisting in the preparation and serving of food in a fast-paced cafeteria environment. This position requires a commitment to food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring that all meals are served with care and attention to detail.

Duties

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and serving areas.
• Assist customers with their meal selections, providing information about menu items.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health standards at all times.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately when necessary.
• Support catering events as needed, contributing to menu planning and execution.
• Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing supplies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service or food service is preferred, including roles in restaurants or catering environments.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays.
• A background in dietary aide roles or fine dining establishments is a plus, but not mandatory.
