We are seeking a Game Master to help support our team. A Game Master is responsible for hosting and running scenarios that engage players with our experiences while simultaneously providing them with effective customer service. This position requires a creative mind, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to maintain focus while dealing with multiple tasks at once. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a role that requires multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, and will have a passion for maintaining quality games and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with Clay County, and must be available to work evenings, weekends, some holidays, and occasionally weekdays (based on reservation volume).
Requirements:
- Be outgoing and enjoy talking with people
- Have escape room knowledge
- Be enthusiastic about escape rooms
- Have basic computer skills
- Be 18 years or older
- Be a U.S. citizen
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to understand and verbally articulate what an escape room is and clearly explain each room
- Be able to control and speak to large groups
- Be fluent in English (bilingual a plus)
- Be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Be able to monitor guests activity and engage, via computer screen, 1 hour or more, without distraction
- Be able to kneel, squat, reach, and climb a ladder
- Be available evenings, weekends, and holidays (excluding Thanksgiving and Christmas)
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and give an exciting and informative introduction to their experience
- Be knowledgeable about the rules and setting of each game
- Monitor teams as they make their way through our adventures
- Give helpful clues when teams ask for help
- Provide undivided attention throughout each teams experience, from greeting to exit
- Take team photos and celebrate wins with guests
- Remain positive and encouraging regardless of escape success
- Accurately reset themed rooms in a timely fashion
- Help clean, repair, and maintain the business as a whole
- Answer phones and take payments over the phone or in person
- Perform other day-to-day duties as directed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 β 20 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Holidays
- Weekends as needed
