Job Summary
At JustFoodForDogs, we're on a mission to improve the length and quality of life for as many pets as possible. We're looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager who has a growth mindset and is full of big ideas to help deliver on this mission for pets nationwide. Love Dogs? Crazy about Cats? The Regional Sales Manager leads the overall performance of the JustFoodForDogs kitchens and pantries in their region. The Regional Sales Manager role responsibilities include (1) ensure consistent high guest experience standards, (2) develop and manage team members and (3) drive store-level financial results throughout a designated Region. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the regional success and results of the day-to-day functions while encouraging teamwork and efficiency in the market. Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and train store leadership to exceed performance goals
- Recruit, hire, and retain top talent
- Oversee labor budgets and optimize schedules
- Maintain high-quality standards at all locations through checklists, visits, meetings, policy adherence, and performance management
- Model company values and protocols to foster a strong culture across region
Sales/Guest Service:
- Obsesses over the customer experience, quickly addresses complaints and resolves issues
- Ensure store teams effectively engage guests, assess pet dietary needs, and provide tailored solutions to drive the company's mission.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure effective merchandising across all locations
- Deliver and execute local marketing plans to drive traffic in all locations
- Foster relationships with outside partners and agencies to continue to build brand awareness within the region. ie Vet clinics, apartment centers, neighboring retail businesses, and rescue services.
- On-site marketing/branding and plan for community events.
Operations:
- Conduct weekly visits to Kitchens and Pantries to assess operations, coach on-site, and verify adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure staff compliance with safety, cleanliness, and product quality standards
- Oversee store ordering processes, approving supply replenishment orders (e.g., marketing materials, ingredients).
- Support new site openings, recruitment and training in new area/locations.
People Development:
- Cultivate a positive and effective teamwork environment.
- Deliver in-person and virtual training, ongoing development, and coaching for store leadership team
- Facilitate talent development and career growth through quarterly career discussions and bi-annual performance evaluations
Business Acumen:
- Implement strategic initiatives effectively.
- Set and monitor individual and regional sales goals
- Achieve or exceed monthly market profitability targets; analyze root causes and implement corrective actions for missed goals
- Monitor and analyze business performance, KPIs, financial reports, and forecast planning.
- Present weekly, monthly, and quarterly business results, trends, and actions.
Competencies and Qualifications
- Exhibit passion for dogs, nutrition, and retail
- Manage, lead, and motivate high-performing teams in a multi-unit environment
- Oversee multiple business areas while coordinating a variety of activities
- Work both independently and collaboratively in a retail setting.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships.
- Adapt to constant change and growth in a fast-paced environment.
- 5 years of multi-unit leadership experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant industries.
- Travel frequently within the assigned market and maintain availability for weekend work.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
