Just in Time is assisting our very stable client in the Pittsburgh, PA area fill a Direct Hire CNC Programming role.
As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Your role will involve working with the engineering team, interpreting technical drawings, programming machines, and ensuring the quality of finished products.
Duties
- Work closely with engineering team during design and manufacturing phase of projects
- Read and Interpret engineering drawings and basic metrological reports
- Programming and Setup : Develop CNC programs based on engineering blueprints, specifications, and job orders. Set up and configure CNC machines including tool selection, zero point calibration, and workpiece clamping.
- Tool Selection and Optimization : Choose appropriate cutting tools and optimize toolpaths to ensure efficient and precise machining operations.
- Problem Solving : Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs and machine errors. Identify and resolve issues related to toolpath efficiency, tool wear, or machine malfunctions to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
