Direct Support Professional (DSP) $20/hour!!!

Who we are looking for:

Are you the Direct Support Professional we have been looking for? Supports To Empower People (STEP) provides intensive, 24 hour Residential, Integrated Community-Based Day & Employment adult men who have intellectual/developmental disabilities as well as significant behavioral and mental health concerns. The men we support have multiple challenges, but have the ability to succeed with the right supports. The principles of Dialectical Behavioral Treatment (DBT) are adapted for the individual and integrated into all aspects of supports. STEP provides empowering support in a therapeutically receptive environment which allows participants to embark upon the clinical challenges encountered and to safely explore and pursue dreams.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED, & Minimum 21 years of age
• Ideal candidates should have a positive and supportive approach, critical thinking skills and ability to think “outside the box”, and a willingness and desire to provide services above and beyond “the norm”.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Access to an insured, registered & inspected vehicle & Valid Driver’s License
• All schedules include weekend hours and meetings on Thursdays
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.
