Are you the Director of Competency we have been looking for? In this position, you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by leading a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team and bring an energetic and positive approach while working with our students!
Glenhaven Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes in trauma informed care. Glenhaven provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.
What You'll Do:

Provide supervision to all recreation and competency staff members.

Oversee all activities and recreation programming to develop and maintain rich and varied programming both on and off site.

Work with the Competency Team to develop creative individual competency building plans for each student.

Collaborate across departments to ensure student goals, plans, and individualized needs pertaining to competency, recreation, and wellness are being adequately addressed.

Facilitate family, community, and natural support connections/permanency connections that meet the cultural and linguistic preferences of the individuals served.

Complete all documentation in a timely manner according to policies and procedures; assume responsibility for the completeness of the Student Record for assigned students.

Attend all mandatory or assigned in service training provided to comply with annual training requirements.

Lead Competency Department meetings.

Provide orientation for new staff to ensure they understand the philosophy, policies, and procedures of the program.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience working with specialized populations of adolescents required.
- Experience working in a residential program or mental health facility preferred.
- Knowledgeable in growth and development; able to obtain and interpret information in terms of the needs of emotionally challenged, mentally ill, or adjudicated adolescents; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population.
- Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as necessary.
- Able to work alone in an unsupervised environment.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.
