Job Summary:
As a Sales - Account Executive specializing in software solutions for law enforcement, municipal courts, schools, and universities, you will be responsible for driving sales, building relationships, and providing expert consultation to these institutions throughout Texas. Your role will involve understanding the specific challenges faced by prospective customers, and demonstrating how the JusticeONE Platform can enhance their operations, compliance, and overall effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting law enforcement agencies, municipal courts, schools, and universities across Texas. Identify key decision-makers and stakeholders to drive sales and meet your individually designed activity metrics. - Prospecting and Lead Generation:
Identify potential clients within the public sector. Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads through cold calling, networking, events and other lead generation strategies. - Client Engagement:
Build and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers. Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand their unique operational challenges and present tailored software solutions. - Consultative Selling:
Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert consultation on optimizing operations for existing and prospective customers. Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions that meet the specific needs of each client segment. - Product Demonstrations:
Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations that showcase the benefits and features of our software solutions. Clearly articulate how our products address pain points specific to law enforcement, municipal courts, and educational institutions, improving workflow efficiency and regulatory compliance. - Proposal Development:
Prepare and present comprehensive proposals, including pricing, implementation timelines, and service agreements. Ensure that proposals align with client requirements and highlight the value of our software in streamlining processes and achieving desired outcomes. - Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong, long lasting connections with clients and stakeholders. Grow to be a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and success with JusticeONE. - Market Research:
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity across Texas. Use this knowledge to refine sales strategies and product positioning. - Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, customer support, and marketing, to ensure client needs are met and to provide feedback for future software enhancements. - Sales Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, and customer interactions in CRM software. Provide regular updates to management on sales performance and market insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Education, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 3 years of experience in B2B software sales, preferably within the government, education, or public sector.
- Strong understanding of law enforcement operations, municipal court processes, and school/university administrative needs is desired, but not required.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel within the state of Texas as needed. Travel expectations are 50% - 75%.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience selling SaaS solutions or enterprise software to government agencies and educational institutions.
- Knowledge of Texas-specific regulations for law enforcement, municipal courts, and educational institutions.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a consultative sales environment.
