JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking Child Welfare Transporter! In this position, you'll play an important role in providing safe and secure transportation to children and families in need. You'll be responsible for ensuring that each family is safely and securely transported to their destination and that the highest standards of safety and care are met. You'll be expected to build trust with the family, maintain confidentiality, and monitor their behavior while in transit. The qualified Child Welfare Transporter will:
- Transport clients utilizing personal vehicle or, For offices which have company vehicles, the Driver is required to use the JusticeWorks vehicle when available.
- Provide a communication link between clients and staff.
- Read and interpret electronic driving directions independently to plan the most efficient route service for clients and read and interpret road signs.
The qualified Child Welfare Transporter will have:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, provided the age and safe driving record requirements are met.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and access to a vehicle.
- Pass current, applicable clearances.
- Pass pre-employment, post-offer drug screening.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends.
