Job Summary
Construction Superintendent / QCM / SSHO for Federal Contract
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements include:
- OSHA 30 Certification
- USACE Quality Manager Certification
- 10 years of professional experience as CPM, CSS, and/or QCM.
- Degree in Construction Management or Related Field
Necessary SKA’s:
- Ability to recognize hazardous situations & recommend corrective measures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to work as a member of a team.
- Strong working knowledge of project planning and scheduling for construction trades
- Detailed knowledge of commercial construction practices
- Federal Construction/ DOD Experience Preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software programs.
- Strong reasoning and comprehension skills.
- General knowledge of EM385-1
Responsibilities and Duties
Typical Duties :
- Supervision and Coordination of Trade Contractors and Craft Workforce
- Planning and Scheduling
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Mentoring and Leadership
- Risk Management
- Participate in the planning and preparation of the project safety program.
- Conduct daily safety huddles and regular weekly safety meetings.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) review during preparatory meetings with crews and subcontractors.
- Assess the site-specific safety training needs and conduct site safety training.
- Conduct regular walk through inspections of construction areas.
- Identify, document and recommend resolution of hazardous/potential hazardous conditions; follow through to insure corrections have been made.
- Investigate personal injury and property damage accidents.
- Compile data, photographs, etc.; prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, local regulations associated with accidents.
- Issue various entry permits such as confined space as required.
- Assist in conducting employee/craft and insurance inspectors on walk through tours. May accompany federal, state and insurance inspectors on walk through tours.
- Assist in maintaining all safety systems and equipment, including but not limited to fire protection, fall protection, gas detectors, lock/out, tag/out and grounding systems.
- Administer site craft safety incentive and disciplinary program.
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

Pay: $89,050.00 - $96,330.00 per year
