What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Justus Property Management?
The perfect candidate for the maintenance technician position for our properties. These properties are located in DeMotte, & Renssellaer. The candadaite will be friendly, responsible, detail oriented, and self motivated. They will be able to prioritize tasks and provide great communication with their team and the tenants.
Some of the things you will do or should have knowledge to be able to complete are:
- Basic household maintenance
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge is a must
- Tenant work orders
- Cleaning
- Painting
- Diagnoses and minor repairs of HVAC related issues
- Lifting and moving of heavy items (water heaters, appliances, rock salt)
- Some grounds keeping & snow removal, as needed.
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance tasks, minor maintenance requests, routine preventive maintenance, and repairs as needed to all common areas and units.
- Ability to work an on-call schedule as required to meet the needs of the property
- Use a variety of building trade skills
- Be able to work on step/extension ladders
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Provide own tools
- Must have a Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation and insurance
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week
