Role : Assist in the hands-on training and job shadowing of new Officers. Responsible for observing and reporting progress and deficiencies. Performs other job related duties as required by the Security management team; and to perform job responsibilities satisfactorily and to according to department standards. Adheres to all Company, safety and department policies and procedures. Fosters team work and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS :
Must meet all the qualifications for Security Officer
Must have a minimum of one year of casino security officer experience.
CPR / AED certification required.
Must complete alcohol awareness certification class.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATE / LICENSE :
Valid Nevada Gaming Registration
Valid Nevada Driver's
Current CPR / AED / First Aid Certification
Current Nevada Alcohol Awareness Training Card (TAM)
MAJOR JOB DUTIES : Duties include, but are not limited, to the following :
- Must be fully capable of carrying out the duties of Security Officer
- Assist in on-the-job hands-on training of Officers on shift.
- Review updates to policies and procedures with shift Officers.
- Observe and report training progress and any deficiencies to shift Corporal.
- Generate detailed computer generated incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
- Exhibit a solid knowledge base of all Officer training.
- Possess working knowledge of computers and all equipment to be used in training.
- Continuously patrol assigned areas of the property to ensure the safety of our guests and team members and to uphold established laws, policies, and procedures.
- Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations, and be able to make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

Work is performed in a Hotel and Casino environment and in all locations throughout the property. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor or other outlets, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
