Job Overview:

Join our team as the Assistant Director of Finance and play a pivotal role in driving financial success for one of Savannah’s premier luxury hotels. In this role, you’ll be a strategic partner to our Director of Finance, helping to implement hotel-wide financial strategies that enhance guest satisfaction, support our dedicated team of Grand Performers, and maximize our return on investment.

As the Assistant Director of Finance, you will help steer the financial operations of our hotel, collaborating with the executive team to execute a focused business plan and provide insightful, data-driven recommendations. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Director of Finance with budget preparation, financial forecasts, and monthly account reconciliations.
• Conduct financial audits to ensure alignment with company policies and protect assets.
• Monitor labor productivity and oversee payroll records, ensuring accurate coding within budgeted guidelines.
• Partner with department heads to provide financial training and communicate financial concepts effectively.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and operational procedures.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and analysis to help guide strategic decision-making.
• Participate in inventory management, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring cost efficiency.
• Attend training sessions, meetings, and support other departments on finance-related matters as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
• 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role or within the hospitality industry.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire a team in a supportive and collaborative way.
• Knowledge of property management and financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify financial concepts for non-financial team members.
