JW Nutritional, LLC is a dietary supplement manufacturer of capsule, tablet, powder, and liquid products headquartered in Allen, TX.
The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for supporting the purchasing department and maintaining the best sources of material supplies to meet company needs; you will consider all aspects of the supplier relationship, including quality, value, and an ability to respond to changing supply requirements. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and databases to meet departmental expectations and goals.
Job Duties
Coordinate with the sales and product development teams on existing and upcoming projects.
Communicate with vendors to request the most up-to-date pricing information, material specifications, and quality documents.
Keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents.
Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price, monitor orders and follow up on order status with vendors, and expedite orders when necessary.
Ensure the timely delivery of materials to support the production schedule.
Provide purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing pricing data and trends.
Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager.
Follow up on projects/initiatives assigned, and report as required.
Assist with non-conformance material return when needed.
Set-up shipments for incoming materials
Track shipments and update relevant systems.
File claims for any discrepancies or damages.

Qualifications
Experience:
1 year experience in related position/field
Practical experience and knowledge working with ERP and MS Office
Education:
Bachelor's or above degree in related field
Language:
Must be able to effectively communicate in English (oral, verbal, and read/write)
Work Authorization:
US work authorization or a valid authorization to work in the US.

Job Type
Full-time, 8 hours, Monday to Friday
Working Conditions:
Work will largely be performed indoors at a desk.
