Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials such as shingles, modified bitumen and metal. A strong ability to work with precision and attention to detail. This role requires physical stamina, as it involves heavy lifting and working at heights. As a Roofer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and integrity of structures by installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems.

Duties

• Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, modified bitumen, metal, or tiles.
• Perform repairs on existing roofs to prevent leaks and damage.
• Conduct inspections to assess the condition of roofs and identify necessary repairs.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and installing roofing materials.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
• Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy lifting techniques and able to handle physically demanding tasks.
• Familiarity with wood framing for structural support.
• Skilled in caulking to ensure watertight seals on roofing materials.
• Background in carpentry, particularly trim carpentry and frame carpentry.
• Experience with vinyl and hardy siding
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to roofing projects.
• Competent in using power tools safely and effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
