Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Crew Leader to oversee our landscaping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundskeeping, lawn care, and landscape maintenance. As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Your leadership will guide the team in executing various landscaping projects while fostering a collaborative atmosphere. We also have 2 pond and waterfall teams, you will be trained on that part of the business. Any water garden or power washing experience will help but not needed. Our teams are booked 3-5 months in advance, this is a 39 year old established business. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of landscapers in daily tasks and projects.
- Washing and cleaning trucks / supervising your team to clean all rigs end shift
- Coordinate and schedule work assignments to ensure timely completion of landscaping services.
- Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, and planting.
- Operate and maintain power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Oversee irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure quality standards are met.
- Train new team members on best practices in landscape maintenance and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Train new members on crew, talk with customers, and take notes for office.
Experience
- Proven experience in groundskeeping, lawn care, or landscape maintenance is essential. MUST have 2 years minimum on a crew, team, or running any kind of landscape tools. Working at your home does not count as experience, this is a jump in job. We train you for 5-7 days, show you locations, and off you go!
- Driver license required - NO EXCEPTIONS you will be a driver
- Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools related to landscaping tasks.
- Experience in managing or leading a team is preferred.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and garden care techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate team members effectively.
- A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.
