Job Description:
- Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day operations within the Histology Laboratory Department, develop mechanisms to measure and improve specimen processing quality and report turnaround times, maintain good relationships with customers, physicians, and colleagues.
- Skill Development: Perform embedding, microtomy, IHC, and special stains as needed, continuously monitor and evaluate histology operations and workflow, manage employee hiring process, manage employee performance, achieve budget objectives.
- Leadership Opportunities: Oversees departmental training, ensures effective communication among team members, contributes to a positive work environment.
Requirements:
- Necessary Qualifications: At least 5 years of Histotech experience, some supervisory or management experience.
